It’s made entirely of plastic, but it’s finely crafted, with a smooth cloth grille that wraps around the rolled edges, and dark gray plastic accents along the bottom, back panel, and sides. The left side houses a pair of Volume buttons and a Mute button. The buttons are backlit, and there’s an extra status LED in between. The back panel is clean save for a recessed area underneath; there you’ll find the permanently attached AC cord, a pair of Ethernet jacks, and an optical input.
Sonos Playbar I found the product was well packed and that it was very easy to hook up with the TV. The quality of the sound from the Playbar was very good and it was very easy to connect with the subwoofer and Play1 speakers to create the dolby surround sound.

Connectivity As with Sonos’ other products, the Play: As Sonos has its own proprietary wireless mesh network, it used to be that you’d need to buy a Bridge product to plug into your router or connect another player via Ethernet. Now, Sonos has updated the player’s firmware, so you can simply connect the player to your Wi-Fi network, removing the need for the Bridge entirely and making getting into Sonos cheaper than ever. On top of that Sonos has released the Boost, which is like a turbo-powered Bridge delivering, as Sonos says, “enterprise-grade wireless capabilities”. Most homes will be fine with Wi-Fi or a Bridge, but for difficult environments, the Boost ensures that Sonos will work everywhere.
